Arbitration Agreements – Class Action Waivers

The US Supreme Court has upheld the legality of class action waivers in individual employment agreements in a 5-4 decision. Thus, employees who sign enforceable class action waivers cannot bring class actions in litigation or in arbitration; they will have to arbitrate or litigate one-on-one.
