$13.25/HOUR MINIMUM WAGE FOR PORTLAND METROPOLITAN AREA – EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2020
Effective July 1, 2020, the minimum hourly wage rate increased to $13.25 per hour for the Portland metropolitan area. This law applies to all employers located within Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties.
The standard minimum wage rate increased in Benton, Clatsop, Columbia, Deschutes, Hood River, Jackson, Josephine, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk, Tillamook, Wasco, Yamhill, and parts of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington outside the urban growth boundary to $12.00 per hour.
Nonurban counties saw a minimum wage rate increase to $11.50 per hour. Nonurban counties include Baker, Coos, Crook, Curry, Douglas, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler Counties.
